Window Shopping On a Tuesday

This morning I decided to take a little stroll through my three favorite stores in NYC. You know, do some research! In days gone by, I loved to actually walk through Bendel's, Bergdorf's and Barney's on a regular basis; but these days I am happy to take a virtual stroll while sitting in my studio on this side of the country.

A Little Gift...It's a Good Thing

Today I spent the morning wrapping up items that I am donating for a fundraiser for Junior Achievement Arizona. I love to give when and where I can but it is always a bit of a challenge to select the items to include. I always want to make sure that I choose something that is a good fit for the women in attendance in hopes that they will bid on the pieces. Today, the choice was easier for some reason.

It's About Green and So Much More

I'd be a fool to think I could surprise anyone by wearing green today...right? So here is what I have on my wrist in the way of jewelry -- one of my green jade soft bangle numbers, layered with a very early Judith Ripka multi-colored jade piece. However, what's not shown in the image is the green jade bangle I added to the bunch. A bangle that I was gifted back in 1967 -- yes -- 1967 by someone quite special!

Purple -- Fit for Royalty

The color purple has long been a favorite of mine -- by now you know I don't wear it in clothing (well, I do have a few deep purple hoodies so my global statement isn't entirely true -- oh, and I have a pair of purple loafers -- so okay I'm a liar!) but you get the gist of what I mean -- I do love to wear purple jewelry.

Treasures That Make it "Home"

I just finished enjoying the most recent post on a friend's blog that waxes poetic about "homes and how they grow and reflect who we are and where we have been." A touching insight, actually. So naturally, I was inspired to snap a pix of a few treasures that sit on my ever-changing coffee table. Are they still called coffee tables?

Softest of Greens

Between storms this morning, I wanted to breathe some fresh air so stepped outside to walk the property, breathe deeply and look for signs of spring. I say "walk the property" as if I am living on hundreds of acres, and like Desparado have to "ride the fences!"
